Why is my device showing as dormant in Oneleet MDM?

Last updated: June 23, 2026

Context

Oneleet monitors MDM-enrolled devices to ensure they remain active. If a device has not checked in for more than 30 days, it will trigger a dormancy alert in the Oneleet dashboard. This alert indicates that the Oneleet Agent on the affected device may not be running or the device may not be connected to the internet.

Answer

To resolve a dormant device alert, follow these steps:

  1. Make sure your device is powered on and connected to the internet.

  2. Check that the Oneleet Agent is running on your device.

  3. If the agent appears to be running but the alert persists, try the following restart sequence:

    1. Log out of the Oneleet software.

    2. Quit the Oneleet software completely.

    3. Relaunch the Oneleet software.

    4. Log back into the Oneleet software.

  4. If the issue still persists after the steps above, try uninstalling the Oneleet Agent, restarting your device, and then reinstalling the latest version of the agent from portal.oneleet.com.

If you are unable to log in to the Oneleet software and see an "Unauthorized" error, you may not yet be added to the People directory. Please contact your organization's admin to ensure you have been granted access before attempting to install or use the Oneleet Agent.
